The 2023 Re:act program in the United States challenged university communication design students to create campaigns that educate their peers about the risks of distraction on and around our roads.

Whether you’re a driver, motorcyclist, cyclist, or pedestrian, distraction is a significant road safety issue. For example, distracted driving contributes to about half of all crashes in Maryland, with an average of 53,000 distracted driving crashes recorded annually in the five years to 2021.
